“After the seeing the amazing response I got from my first book, Music Theory for Ukulele, I began thinking about what else I could create which would help players of all levels to improve their playing so that they could get even more enjoyment from their instrument.
After asking everyone in the ukulele club which I run, the answer to this question became clear. Players told me that, even though they could play a few songs and chords, they didn't really know what to do in order to improve. Nor were they totally comfortable when making music with other people - they worried about losing their place, playing out of time, and worst of all - having to play something they'd never played before!
Next Level Ukulele is my attempt to help any uke player who feels this way. By following the clearly laid out steps in this book and play-along audio package, I firmly believe that any player can improve their musical 'ear' and listening ability, their rhythmic and strumming skills, their knowledge of how to play music and much more to make them a more confident ukulele player and better all round musician.
